The first renders of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra leaked recently, revealing an iPhone-inspired rear camera island design.
From the front and sides, the phone appears to carry over the same design as the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
While Apple uses three individual camera rings on the iPhone, the renders suggest Samsung will use two on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, with the LED flash and third camera housed in a single module.
Other design aspects of the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be similar to the S26 Ultra, with a flat frame and rounded corners.
The report states that the Galaxy S27 Ultra's dimensions will likely be 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm.

Shared by OnLeaks in association with Android Headlines, the renders indicate Samsung will only tweak the rear camera island design of its next Ultra flagship. From the front and sides, the phone appears to carry over the same design as the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The potential camera redesign will be the talking point, though, especially since it mirrors that of the iPhone 17 Pro. While Apple uses three individual camera rings on the iPhone, the renders suggest Samsung will use two on the Galaxy S27 Ultra, with the LED flash and third camera housed in a single module.
The renders also confirm the rumor going around that Samsung will ditch the 3x 10MP telephoto lens for good with its next flagship.
Other design aspects of the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be similar to the S26 Ultra, with a flat frame and rounded corners. More importantly, the S Pen will stick around, with its housing located on the bottom.
A big camera bump to make space for larger camera sensors?
The report states that the Galaxy S27 Ultra's dimensions will likely be 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm. While they may not be 100% accurate, it points to the phone being slightly bigger than the S26 Ultra, which measures 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm. That's not a huge difference and should not affect the S27 Ultra's in-hand grip.
The camera bump itself will measure 12.53mm, which, if accurate, suggests it will protrude quite a bit from the phone. If anything, that may be a good sign of Samsung finally using larger camera sensors.
Apart from the rear design changes, Samsung will supposedly use a larger battery on the S27 Ultra, finally ditching the 5,000mAh cell for good. That should help, especially when paired with Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon chipset.
With Samsung expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 family in late January or early February, we should see more detailed leaks surrounding the phones pop up on the internet in the coming months.
