Why Has Samsung Increased the Galaxy S25 Price?

The price revision comes at a time when several smartphone manufacturers are adjusting prices due to rising memory component costs. While Samsung, Apple and Google had largely avoided increasing prices of their flagship smartphones amid these cost pressures, Samsung has now revised the pricing of its Galaxy S25 lineup.

Does the Galaxy S25 Still Offer Flagship Hardware?

Despite being an older-generation model, the Galaxy S25 remains a capable compact flagship. It features a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12GB of RAM and a triple-camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Its 4,000mAh battery and 25W charging are less competitive than newer phones with larger batteries, but its compact design and dedicated telephoto camera remain notable strengths.

Is the Galaxy S25 Still Worth Buying?

The Galaxy S25 could still appeal to buyers looking for a small flagship with strong performance, versatile cameras and long-term software support. Samsung promises seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, extending support through 2032. While its official price has increased, discounts from online retailers could make the phone a more attractive option, particularly for users who prioritise a compact design and extended software support.
