That aside, the smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080, 19.5:9) 120Hz Super AMOLED display with punch-hole cutout instead of the teardrop notch found in its predecessor. The entire slab of front glass is made from Gorilla Glass Victus+, which is used by flagship smartphones in the early 2020s. Within that slab you’ll also find the 12MP front camera with autofocus support, while the rear camera system consists of a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor.

Its battery capacity is listed as 5,000mAh, with 25W wired fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, it only supports Wi-Fi 5 (supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands), though it does have NFC support, which is good news if you use Touch ‘n Go NFC cards. It’s also rated at IP64 in terms of ingress protection, which is a surprising downgrade from IP67 on the Galaxy A26 – the company conveniently skipped this fact in its product webpage comparing the new model to the Galaxy A25 instead.

Software-wise, the Galaxy A27 runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box, and Samsung says it is eligible for six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as six years of security updates from the initial global launch date.

The Samsung Galaxy A27 is available in Black, Dark Blue, and Light Pink. The 8+256GB variant is priced at RM1,499 , and the 8+128GB is available at RM1,399 .
