Rupali Ganguly penned a heartfelt note for brother Vijay Ganguly, who won the Best Choreography National Award for "Aaj Ki Raat" from Stree 2.

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly is a proud sister right now. Her brother, Vijay Ganguly, has gotten a top honour of his career as he received the Best Choreography honour for Aaj Ki Raat from Stree 2 at the 72nd National Film Awards. Rupaly took to Instagram to heap praises on Vijay with an emotional note.

The 72nd National Film Awards were announced on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Rupali Ganguly penned a heartfelt post saying, “From being a National award-winning director’s daughter to being a National award-winning choreographer’s sister….. I am the proudest. Aaj Ki Raat is outstanding choreography, and getting national recognition for this is so well deserved. Mummy kept saying you will win the National Award for Aaj Ki Raat, and she absolutely manifested it …. Baap re !!!"

Rupali went on to say that the achievement still feels surreal to her. She reflected on her brother’s journey, recalling the struggles, setbacks and disappointments he had faced over the years, while admiring how he never lost his smile through it all.

The actress further wrote, “Pappa always said, Head firmly on your shoulders, Be honest and Humble, Value ur work, Put in ur best se bhi better effort and Validate the opportunity God has given you! You have done all this always. Thank u for being Pappas best son and making us Ganguly’s proud. To loads of good work and many, many more milestones."

The Anupamaa actress also thanked the makers of Stree 2, Tamannaah Bhatia and Rajkummar Rao in her post. “I LOVE U MY BABY BROTHER … may MATARANI BLESS U WITH MANY MANY MORE (sic)," Rupali’s note concluded.

With this win, Vijay Ganguly has added his first National Award to his achievements.

Aaj Ki Raat is a Hindi song from the 2024 film Stree 2, composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar, the chartbuster was picturised on Tamannaah Bhatia and went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year. The song topped the Billboard India chart, reached No. 2 on the UK Asian chart, and peaked at No. 65 on the Billboard Global 200.
