Riot Games has announced a new map called Summit for Valorant. This new map is set to launch on June 24 as part of Season 2026 Act 4. The map introduces new environmental mechanics that allow players to alter sightlines and rotation paths during a match. Set in a Radiant training academy located in the mountains of China, Summit features training halls and meditation gardens connected through interactive structures. According to Riot Games, the map was once home to the Radiant monastery where Sage trained before joining the Valorant Protocol.Summit follows a traditional two-site, three-lane layout but adds a new gameplay element in the form of droppable walls located at A Site, B Site and Mid. Once activated, these walls permanently change parts of the map for the remainder of the round.the game’s developers said. The map will be available in Competitive mode immediately after launch.To encourage players to learn the new map, Riot Games is introducing temporary Ranked Rating (RR) adjustments during Summit's first two weeks.Players who lose matches on Summit will lose 50% less RR than usual, while victories will continue to award 100% RR. Riot is also launching a dedicated Summit Only queue for the first seven days after release. Matches in this playlist will use the Swiftplay format, allowing players to become familiar with the map before encountering it regularly in competitive play.Alongside Summit, Riot Games is introducing Retake, a new 3v3 game mode focused entirely on post-plant scenarios. In Retake, the Spike is already planted at the start of each round. One team must defend the site while the other attempts to retake and defuse. Teams switch sides every round, and players receive randomized loadouts that become stronger as matches progress.The mode is designed to focus on one of Valorant's most common high-pressure situations while offering shorter, round-based gameplay. Season 2026 Act 4 will also introduce the Blackspyre Collection, a new weapon skin line inspired by science fiction and mystical themes.The collection includes skins for the Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre and Ares, along with a new melee weapon called the Divide. The Act 4 Battlepass will feature several cosmetic items, including the Sky Reaper Ghost, Heal Up Squad Card and Blep Spray.
