HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy offered silk garments to Goddess Sri Mahankali and prayed at the Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahakali Temple on Sunday during the Ashada Bonalu celebrations.
Revanth Reddy arrived at the temple along with ministers Konda Surekha, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Danasari ‘Seethakka’ Anasuya.
Rama Rao visited the temple, offered prayers and conducted special rituals.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister participated in a traditional Bonalu festival feast and celebrations at Prabhakar’s camp office.
BJP MPs Etala Rajender, M. Raghunandan Rao, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, MLA Padi Rakesh Reddy and BRS MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy were among those who attended the feast.

Revanth Reddy arrived at the temple along with ministers Konda Surekha, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Danasari ‘Seethakka’ Anasuya. Surekha offered the auspicious Bangaru Bonam to the deity along with the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister also met and interacted with devotees at the temple. Sanathnagar BRS MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav welcomed the Chief Minister and felicitated him. BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao visited the temple, offered prayers and conducted special rituals.
Haryana’s former governor Bandaru Dattatreya, MP Vaddiraju Ravi Chandra, MLAs Danam Nagender, Kaleru Venkatesh, Muta Gopal, Anil Jadhav, TPCC president Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud and others also offered special prayers to the deity. US Consul General of Hyderabad Laura Williams participated in the Bonalu celebrations and offered a Bonam to the deity.
Earlier in the day, minister Prabhakar and his wife offered the first Bangaru Bonam to the deity, along with Congress Rajya Sabha member Pawan Khera and TPCC vice-president Kota Neelima.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister participated in a traditional Bonalu festival feast and celebrations at Prabhakar’s camp office. BJP MPs Etala Rajender, M. Congress leaders aspiring for nominated posts were also seen, some of whom placed requests with Revanth Reddy.
