Recently, a clip shared by Upasana featured a voice-over of Klin Kaara expressing her love for her father, Ram Charan, following the release of his film Peddi. In the video, she said, “Nanna (Dad), this is for you. Nanna, I love you so much.”
Ram Charan’s work front
Set in a neglected village in Andhra Pradesh during the 1990s, Peddi follows a cricketer-for-hire who plays for any team willing to pay him. While in love with Achiyamma, the sarpanch’s daughter, Peddi is inspired by Appalasuri, a villager who has spent years trying to secure a railway halt and official recognition for their village.
Determined to fulfill Appalasuri’s dream, Peddi embarks on a challenging journey, using his sporting talent to support the cause. The story explores his transformation from a player driven by money into a dedicated sportsman under the guidance of his mentor, Gournaidu, and the sacrifices he makes along the way.
Apart from Ram Charan, the film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, Viji Chandrasekhar, and others in key roles. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has received mixed responses from audiences and critics.
Looking ahead, Charan is set to headline the tentatively titled RC17, directed by Sukumar.
