Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale Offers Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids

The global Pokémon GO Fest 2026 event took place July 11 and 12, 2026, but there’s still Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale and Mega Ascension for Trainers who aren’t quite ready to walk away from one of the biggest events of the year! Mega Ascension takes place August 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to September 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time, and Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale runs September 5 and 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.

Mega Evolution is the key theme of these events, with Mega Raids, a choose-your-path GO Pass, rotating habitats, and a Mega Evolution–focused research journey. To kick off Mega Ascension, Trainers will choose Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie as part of a branching Timed Research challenge. By completing this Timed Research, Trainers will gain access to GO Pass: Mega Finale, which features rewards to help Trainers Mega Evolve their Pokémon.

While there are countless Mega Raids taking place during this event, the highlight will be the return of Mega Mewtwo X on September 5 and Mega Mewtwo Y on September 6. Take part in infinite raids if you feel so inclined because there’s no Remote Raid limit on September 5 and 6. All Mega-Evolved Pokémon will receive an extra CP boost that weekend, and many Pokémon with the ability to Mega Evolve will appear in the wild during these hours. Mega Ascension Event

Mega Ascension runs August 31 at 10:00 a.m. to September 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time and comes with its own event bonuses, Mega Raid schedule, and Pokémon appearing in the wild. During this time, the Remote Raid limit will increase to 30 and Pokémon caught from Mega Raids may have a Mega Evolution–themed Special Background.
