Spider-Man: Brand New Day (30th July 2026)
First day box office forecast: Rs. 40-48 crore nett
The latest Spider-Man instalment is buzzing hot across the world, evident from excellent pre-sales. The same is the case in India, where it has sold over Rs. 5 crore in advance, despite a very limited rollout and a long time to release.
The previous Spider-Man film, No Way Home, opened to Rs. 32.70 crore nett in 2021. That was the time when the market was still recovering, coming out of COVID lockdowns. There has also been an increase in business in Southern India since then, particularly in APTS, Mysore and Kerala.
Considering these factors, Brand New Day is expected to open over Rs. 40 crore nett in India. On the high end, it is expected to be in the high 40s, with a shot at Rs. 50 crore nett mark as well, depending on how things are in the final week. The record for Hollywood opening day belongs to Avengers: Endgame at Rs. 53.50 crore nett. Brand New Day, at this point, is likely to be second.

Dhamaal 4 is buzzing around Welcome to the Jungle and looking at a similar start. That film had some of the holiday advantage on Friday, which won’t be the case here, so that may keep it a bit short for the opening day. The previous forecast of Rs. 13-17 crore, remains unchanged, although the pinpoint is lowered slightly to Rs. 14.00 crore nett from Rs. 15 crore nett.
