Cocktail 2 (19th June 2026)

First day box office forecast: Rs. 7-10 crore

Sequel to the 2012 hit rom-com Cocktail. While it wasn’t a big hit per se, the music was huge and remains popular even today. The original opened very well at over Rs. 10 crore nett, which will be around Rs. 25 crore today. Well… those were the days.

The rom-com genre is struggling at the moment, especially when it leans towards the urban side, which this film is. Most of these films are opening in single digits, some even closer or under Rs. 5 crore.

The sequel factor holds some value thanks to the music, which should lend it a helping hand. Ultimately, it will depend on the music, just like the first one. The songs released so far have clicked moderately but not to the level they should. The trailer should offer more clarity as well.

Peddi (Hindi) (4th June 2026)

First day box office forecast: Rs. 1-3 crore

The film generated some initial curiosity with its first look last year, carrying shades of Pushpa in terms of its rugged, rooted presentation. The first song also worked reasonably well. However, the momentum appears to have faded with multiple delays over the past year. Furthermore, the trailer didn’t impress either. As such, not much is expected initially from the film at this time. It may get some start in the smaller centres of CP Berar, Odisha and other Eastern circuits.

Other Updates

Hai Jawani Hai Toh Ishq Hona Hai got a trailer, but that hasn’t moved the needle. The expectations remain the same.

Main Vaapas Aaunga forecast is adjusted downwards from Rs. 3-6 crore to Rs. 2-4 crore. The music hasn’t moved the needle yet, and the trailer hasn’t built the buzz/momentum either.
