Telugu film Peddi collected Rs. 8 crore approx at the Indian box office during its third weekend, which takes its running total to Rs. 273 crore approx after eighteen days in release. Almost all of the business in the third weekend came from the Telugu states, while the run is pretty much over elsewhere.

Additionally, the film has collected USD 5.30 million (Rs. 50.50 crore) approx overseas, for a worldwide box office gross of Rs. 323.50 crore approx. Peddi is the highest-grossing Tollywood and South Indian film of the year. It is also the top-grossing solo film for Ram Charan, while second overall behind RRR.

Peddi has performed superbly in the home territory of APTS, with Rs. 215.50 crore approx to date, currently the eighth highest grossing film of all time. It will soon overtake MSVPG, Devara and Salaar to enter the top five. Within that, coastal Andhra districts are particularly strong at around Rs. 102.50 crore, putting it in the top five grossers of all time. Nizam and Ceded have also performed well. Despite these blockbuster grosses, the distributors will be losing money, but that is down to irrational buying on their part and not the film’s fault.

The disappointment with the film has come overseas, which has not performed well at all, incurring heavy losses.
