Peddi follows a cricketer-for-hire who plays for any team willing to pay him. While in love with Achiyamma, the sarpanch's daughter, Peddi is inspired by Appalasuri, a villager who has spent years trying to secure a railway halt and official recognition for their village.
Determined to fulfill Appalasuri's dream, Peddi embarks on a challenging journey, using his sporting talent to support the cause. The story traces his transformation from a player driven by money into a dedicated sportsman under the guidance of his mentor, Gournaidu, and the sacrifices he makes along the way.
The film stars Ram Charan in the titular role, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, Boman Irani, Ravi Kishan, Viji Chandrasekhar, Rajatava Dutta, Satya, John Vijay, Ajay Ghosh, and others in key roles.
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film was produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. AR Rahman composed the songs and background score, while R. Rathnavelu handled the cinematography and Naveen Nooli served as the editor. The film received mixed reviews upon its theatrical release.

Ram Charan was last seen in the lead role in S. Shankar's Game Changer. Co-starring Kiara Advani, the film also featured Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, Jayaram, and others in prominent roles.
Looking ahead, the actor is expected to headline director Sukumar's next film, tentatively titled RC17 . The project marks the actor-director duo's second collaboration after Rangasthalam.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor is next set to appear in the lead role in Lag Ja Gale. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film has Tiger Shroff and Lakshya as co-leads.
