Peddi marks Ram Charan’s third release since the blockbuster success of RRR. However, none of his post-RRR films have managed to recreate the magic of the SS Rajamouli directorial. His last film, Game Changer, was made on a reported budget of Rs 400 crore, and earned Rs 187 crore worldwide. It is expected that Peddi will turn the tide for Ram Charan. The actor has been on an extensive promotional spree all over the country to promote his film.

As per the film’s official social media handle, Peddi sold over 1 million tickets on BookMyShow and District until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 3. The interest in the film is quite high as the film sold over 22,000 tickets just on BookMyShow between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM on the release day.
Trade estimates suggest that Peddi has to earn Rs 500 crore gross worldwide to break even at the box office. If the film manages to achieve that milestone, it will become only the second film in the actor’s career after RRR to cross that milestone.
