OnePlus has confirmed the N6x launches July 31 and goes on sale August 4 in India. Here's everything the company has revealed about its battery, display, and AI features.

OnePLus N6x will be available in two colours, Burgundy Red and Ice Blue. OnePlus hasn't confirmed pricing yet, but early estimates suggest it'll launch under Rs 20,000, positioning it just below the OnePlus N6's Rs 22,999 starting price.

OnePlus has barely let the N6 settle into the market before pushing details on its follow-up. Ahead of the N6x’s official India debut, the company has been steadily revealing specifics through a dedicated microsite, and the picture is now fairly complete.

When you can buy it

OnePlus has confirmed the N6x launches in India on July 31 at 12pm IST, with sales opening a few days later on August 4, also at 12pm IST. The sale date is just ahead of the upcoming Amazon Sale starting from August 7. Once live, it’ll be available through Amazon India and the OnePlus India online store.

Display and design

The phone gets a flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, aimed at smoother scrolling, gaming, and everyday use. OnePlus has also shown off the front design, revealing a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.

The AI camera tools on board

OnePlus is bundling in three on-device AI editing tools with the N6x:

AI Portrait Glow, which brightens faces in photos taken in low lightAI Eraser, which removes unwanted people or objects from a photoAI Unblur, which sharpens blurry images

The idea behind all three is letting users clean up photos directly on the phone, without needing a separate editing app.

Battery life, and how it compares to the N6

OnePlus has confirmed the N6x packs a 7,000mAh battery, claimed to deliver up to 2.5 days of use on a single charge. Broken down further, OnePlus’s own figures put that at up to 20.56 hours of video playback, 133.56 hours of music playback, 25.04 hours of social media browsing, or 11.26 hours of continuous video recording.

Worth flagging though, that 7,000mAh cell is actually smaller than the 8,000mAh battery in the standard OnePlus N6, so despite the N6x’s battery-first marketing, it isn’t the bigger battery of the two phones in this lineup.
