The tech company OnePlus has launched its new Turbo 6X series in China, which includes two models: the Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro. Both phones are equipped with MediaTek's new Dimensity super series chipsets, but they differ in display, battery capacity, camera hardware, and durability ratings. The base model Turbo 6X features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, while the Pro model comes with a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and an astonishing peak brightness of 6,500 nits. Both phones support DC dimming and special touch optimizations, making them easy to use even with gloves, wet hands, or oily fingers.

In terms of performance, the Turbo 6X is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 super chipset, while the Turbo 6X Pro features the Dimensity 7400 super processor; both models are available with up to 12GB of RAM and storage options of up to 256GB. The standard model allows storage expansion via a TF card of up to 2TB, while the Pro does not offer this option. Software-wise, this series runs on Android 16 based ColorOS 16, and the Pro version includes productivity-focused tools such as AI-based translation, writing assistance, and voice note generation.

Regarding the camera, the Turbo 6X has a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, while the Pro model features a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The photo software includes support for live photos, portrait tools, and film-inspired filters.

Battery capacity is significant—Turbo 6X comes with a 7,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, reverse wired charging, and charging external devices, while the Turbo 6X Pro has an 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. There are also differences in durability ratings; the base model has an IP64 rating, while the Pro model has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, having passed seven military-grade durability tests. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the base model, while the Pro model has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

In terms of pricing, the Turbo 6X's 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 1,899 (approximately ₹26,800), the 8GB + 256GB at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹28,100), and the 12GB + 256GB at CNY 2,299 (approximately ₹32,300). The Turbo 6X Pro's 8GB + 128GB version is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹28,100), the 8GB + 256GB at CNY 2,099 (approximately ₹29,500), and the 12GB + 256GB at CNY 2,399 (approximately ₹33,700). The base model will be available in White, Green Cloud, and Starry Black, while the Pro model comes in 'Heartbeat Orange' and 'Prancing Horse Black'. Currently, both models are available for pre-order in China, with official sales starting from June 15. Gaming-focused features include custom game commands, silent game launch, and an in-built voice changer, making these devices appealing for both gaming and productivity.
