The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted thunderstorms and gusty winds. The cyclonic circulation reportedly extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level.
Orange Warning For Four Districts
An orange warning has been issued for Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Sambalpur for very heavy rainfall.

Similarly, a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining districts for heavy rainfall.
Thunderstorms And Gusty Winds Expected
On the second day, several districts are likely to receive rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, except some districts in interior and southern Odisha.
Gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph may also occur. The weather conditions are expected to continue until August 13, according to the Meteorological Department.

Sea Likely To Remain Rough
Fishermen have been advised to exercise caution while venturing into the sea as the conditions are likely to remain rough. Wind speeds are also expected to increase along the coastal areas.
