India’s recent T20I series against England featured five venues wherein the average first innings scores in the T20 Blast since 2023 stood in the 161-170 range.
Those five venues were ranked in the bottom five on that aspect among the 25 venues in the T20 Blast in the time-frame, and India batters found scoring difficult at various junctures throughout the series.
The average first innings score in five matches in Harare when India last toured Zimbabwe - in July 2024 - was 170, including a match-winning 115/9 by the hosts in the series opener.
In the 10 matches played during the Zimbabwe domestic T20 competition here in December, the overall scoring rate was 6.93, and the average first innings score (excluding rain-interrupted ones) was 135.
That number reads 161 in T20Is at the venue since January 2025.
