Next-gen Tata Nexon Spotted Testing

A wrapped test mule was spotted en route Satara, and it bears visual changes that separate the existing model from the next-gen version. From the side, the edge of the A-pillar has been squared off, and the rear windscreen is slightly more angular compared to the existing version. Dual-tone alloys have been carried over, but this test mule seems to bear a makeshift tail-light setup. This means the spotted mule is a pre-production version, and further sightings will entail more visual changes. The existing Nexon is gets four powertrain options – petrol (118bhp/170Nm), turbo-CNG (99bhp/170Nm), diesel (113bhp/260Nm), and electric (143bhp/215Nm, 45kWh).

Likely to retain mechanicals for ICE

The Tata Punch and the Tiago were recently facelifted, and it looks like the Nexon is the next in line. A wrapped test mule was spotted en route Satara, and it bears visual changes that separate the existing model from the next-gen version.

The ICE powertrains are likely to remain unchanged. Expect compatibility with higher ethanol blends for petrol, possibly flex fuel. The EV may get a more powerful configuration.
