New Toyota Fortuner – New Screens

The 8-inch infotainment display from the outgoing model will likely be replaced with a bigger 12.3-inch unit. Even the puny TFT MID will be replaced with a bigger 12.3-inch infotainment screen. On the lower trims, a smaller infotainment screen and the TFT MID could likely be offered. However, phone connectivity features like Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay could be offered from the base variant itself.

360-degree camera

Currently, the Fortuner offers a 360-degree camera as an accessory. In the newer model, it could now be offered as standard on higher variants. 360-degree camera has become particularly important as of late, as even hatchbacks and compact sedans like the Baleno and Dzire are offering it on the top variants.

New Toyota Fortuner – Finally Gets ADAS?

Nowadays, even compact SUVs offer an ADAS suite, and yet a Rs 60 lakh Fortuner misses out. That could finally change with the next-gen model. From the test mule spotted in Thailand, the radar for driver-assist systems was visible, suggesting that the Indian-spec model could also benefit from the ADAS suite. It is also important to note that inclusion of ADAS could drive up its price by around Rs 2-3 lakh.

Front Ventilated Seats

Toyota does offer ventilated front seats on the Fortuner, but only on the non-hybrid trims. Interestingly, the mild-hybrid trims are the top ones on the Fortuner, and it is quite surprising that it misses out on one of the most popular features in the market. It is particularly shocking to pay more than Rs 50 lakh and still miss out on this feature.

New Toyota Fortuner – Sunroof

Many people have complained about the lack of a sunroof on the Fortuner, and Toyota could finally address it. All of its rivals are offering a panoramic sunroof as standard, so it is quite likely that the Japanese automaker will copy this move.
