Skoda and Volkswagen have been offering impressive products in India. The Kushaq-Taigun and Slavia-Virtus recently turned it around for both brands. However, Skoda’s most successful product has proven to be the Kylaq, bringing in the highest sales right from the launch. And now, it looks like VW wants a piece of this success by launching its badge-engineered version of the Kylaq.
In Brazil, Volkswagen sells the Tera compact SUV. The India-bound model could look similar to it. Moreover, this compact SUV will share most of its components with the Skoda Kylaq. There are also rumours that this compact SUV could be used to resurrect the Polo nameplate.

What To Expect?
Better late than never, right? Well, we believe this will apply to this upcoming VW SUV. After the success of the Kylaq, VW wants in, and what better way to do it than to use the legendary Polo nameplate. With a striking design, German build quality, and the fun-to-drive experience, this VW SUV is likely to have it all. This upcoming SUV is likely to get features like a 10-inch touchscreen, an eight-inch instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, and more.

We could expect additional features like a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and more. Powering the SUV will likely be the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, with either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic. Volkswagen India could price this SUV between Rs. 9 lakh and Rs. 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). We expect the VW SUV to be launched in 2027.
