New Honda Mid-Size SUV: Launch Timeline Revealed
The 0 Alpha SUV, an electric mid-size SUV, will be positioned alongside the Elevate in its lineup. According to the carmaker, it will debut by Q3 or Q4 of the current financial year. We can expect it to be launched in India by early 2027.
The 0 Alpha will mark Honda’s entry into a new segment in India. It will compete with the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Sierra EV, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara, and Toyota eBella, to name a few. We expect the 0 Alpha to be priced between Rs. 17 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Honda 0 Alpha: Features & Powertrain
We have already talked about the futuristic design language of this new Honda SUV. Recently, we also got a glimpse of its interior. It features a big infotainment screen and a digital driver’s display. It will feature a three-spoke steering wheel, distinctive from the other Honda models. Other features expected on this SUV are powered and ventilated front seats, six airbags standard, ADAS, wireless charging, rear AC vents, HUD, and a 360-degree camera.

Honda has not revealed the battery pack options yet. However, we expect the new model to feature a battery pack of around 60-75kWh, delivering a range of over 500 kms on a single charge. More details will be revealed as we near its launch.

What Else?
Honda also confirmed that it will launch six new products, and two of those (the updated City and all-new ZR-V) have already been launched. In the remaining launches, one will be the 0 Alpha SUV, and the others are expected to be CBU models.
