As part of its efforts to expand options available to enthusiasts, Jawa has launched a new All Stars range for the Jawa 42 FJ roadster. Primary focus is on achieving a sportier presence with the introduction of new colours and sporty graphics. Jawa All Stars 42 FJ will challenge Royal Enfield bikes in the 350 cc segment.
Jawa All Stars 42 FJ – What’s new?
Buyers have plenty of options to choose from since the new Jawa All Stars 42 FJ is available in six colourways. All variants have used a distinctive graphics theme on the fuel tank. Side panels of all variants get a vintage winged aviation-style star decal. Colour options include Red Silver, Aurora Green, Nebula Blue, Matte Black with Red Clad, Matte Black with Black Clad and Chrome.
Prices vary based on the variant. Red Silver and Aurora Green are available at a starting price of Rs 2.02 lakh. These are essentially dual tone variants, but come with distinctive graphics on the fuel tank. The Red Silver variant has a unique watermark-styled ‘JAWA’ lettering on the fuel tank. In comparison, the Aurora Green variant uses winged-style graphics.
Jawa All Stars 42 FJ Nebula Blue, Matte Black with Red Clad and Matte Black with Black Clad are priced at Rs 2.08 lakh. The Matte Black with Red Clad variant uses a distinct gradient-style colour on the fuel tank with ’42’ number in a large font. The Nebula Blue variant has winged-style graphics on the fuel tank, whereas the Black Clad variant has ‘JAWA’ lettering.
Top-spec All Stars Chrome variant has the maximum retro impact with its brushed aluminium finish for the fuel tank and a large star decal. It also has ‘EST 1929’ lettering. The headlamp and instrument console get a glossy metallic highlight. Apart from these, most of the other surfaces have a blacked-out theme. Jawa 42 All Stars Chrome variant is available at a starting price of Rs 2.16 lakh.
Performance, specs
Hardware and features remain unchanged for the new Jawa All Stars 42 FJ. Powering the bike is a 334 cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that generates 29.17 PS and 29.62 Nm of torque. It is paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox, offering seamless operations across city streets as well as wide open roads.
The bike uses a rugged double cradle frame, with 41 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload. Braking setup comprises 320 mm and 240 mm discs at the front and rear, integrated with dual-channel ABS. Wheel combination is 18-inch front and 17-inch rear, wrapped in 100/90 and 140/70 tyres, respectively.
Jawa All Stars 42 FJ has a fully digital instrument cluster. It displays a range of information such as speed, fuel, gear and time. The bike features a twin exhaust setup, which enhances its retro aesthetic.
