Bajaj has retained the existing 2-valve Pulsar N160 in the range while introducing the new 4-valve variants with significant upgrades in performance, electronics and equipment.
It produces 18.5 PS at 9,500 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm, making it the most powerful Pulsar N160 to date.
Unlike the existing 2-valve model that uses a mechanical throttle, the new engine adopts Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) technology.

Just a day after its official launch, the new Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS has started reaching dealerships across the country. Latest images shared with Rushlane show multiple units being unloaded from a transport truck at a dealership, indicating that retail dispatches are now underway. First customer deliveries are all set to start from today.

Biggest Mechanical Update Yet
The Pulsar N160 SS is positioned as the flagship version of the lineup and is priced at Rs 1,42,585 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the N160 S is priced at Rs 1,33,511 (ex-showroom). The major highlight of the new N160 range is the introduction of an all-new 164.5 cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 4-valve engine.
It produces 18.5 PS at 9,500 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm, making it the most powerful Pulsar N160 to date. Bajaj claims a 0-60 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, positioning it among the quickest motorcycles in its class. Unlike the existing 2-valve model that uses a mechanical throttle, the new engine adopts Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) technology. This enables a host of electronic rider aids including four ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Off-road), Crawl Technology and traction control on higher variants.
TFT Display With Google Maps
Another major upgrade is the instrument console. The flagship Pulsar N160 SS gets a 5-inch TFT display with Google Maps mirroring, making it one of the first motorcycles in the segment to offer full Google Maps integration. The display also supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Other upgrades include 37 mm USD front forks, a larger 300 mm front disc brake, radial rear tyre, adjustable clutch and brake levers, coloured alloy wheels and revised graphics. The motorcycle continues with a monoshock rear suspension, 14-litre fuel tank and 795 mm seat height.
Ready To Take On Rivals
With dealership arrivals now underway, Bajaj is preparing to take on rivals such as TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The combination of a new 4-valve engine, electronic throttle, ride modes, traction control and Google Maps-enabled TFT display gives the Pulsar N160 SS one of the strongest equipment lists in the segment.
