Kohima, Sept 10: Nagaland has got its first statistician licensed by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), with Rolio Z. Lohe of Sakraba village in Phek district securing the international certification.
Lohe has been issued FIBA Statistician License No.
He had earlier appeared for the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) B Panel examination in Chennai in September 2025.
The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) described the achievement as a “proud and defining moment” for the state, saying it opens a new global pathway for Nagaland in basketball.
With the FIBA licence, Lohe is eligible to officiate as a statistician at FIBA-sanctioned national and international tournaments.

Lohe has been issued FIBA Statistician License No. 41916 after completing the FIBA Certification Workshop on the FIBA Statisticians’ Manual 2024 and LiveStats software.
He had earlier appeared for the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) B Panel examination in Chennai in September 2025.
Besides his statistics credentials, Lohe is a qualified World Association of Basketball Coaches (WABC) coach. He completed a six-week coaching course at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bengaluru, and recently worked as an intern as Coach, Events and Operations Manager at Lakshyan Academy of Sports in Bengaluru.
