A 91-year-old woman died in Karnataka’s Koppal district after she was allegedly attacked and pushed by a monkey outside her home, while another woman in Vijayawada died after accidentally falling into a vessel containing boiling sambar during a Ganesh Chaturthi ‘annadanam’ programme. The two incidents occurred separately and are being investigated by authorities.The deceased in the Karnataka incident was identified as Najamunisa Begum, 91, a resident of BT Patil Nagar in Koppal district. She suffered severe burns and was taken to a government hospital in Vijayawada by her family members and others present at the spot. Despite treatment, she died from her injuries at the hospital.
