Hyderabad: Expelled AIMIM MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig made sensational remarks after the party officially announced his expulsion.
Baig said he had done nothing wrong and would not resign from his MLC post.
The AIMIM in a post on social media just past midnight on Saturday expelled its MLC Mirza Rahmat Baig from the party “with immediate effect”.
A YouTuber, Safder Moosvi, claimed that after he was caught in the act, the party leadership had sent Baig on Umrah.
When the purported videos of the alleged incident viral, the party expelled him without stating reasons, he alleged.

He alleged that deepfake videos had been created and circulated online to defame him.
Baig expressed hope that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi would do justice to him and said he wanted to continue working as a party worker. He clarified that he had not gone anywhere and but was on the Umrah pilgrimage. He returned to Hyderabad later on Saturday and remained silent throughout the day.
