Srinagar, June 18: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Thursday afternoon issued an advisory, predicting intense showers, hailstorm and gusty winds at many places of Jammu and Kashmir divisions during next 3-5 hours.
The department urged people of the concerned areas to stay inside and stay away from loose structures, electric wires, poles and old trees.

In its advisory issued at 04:45 pm on Thursday, the MeT stated: “A spell of rain/thundershower over many places of Kashmir and Jammu divisions (Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Poonch and adjoining areas) and Sonamarg-Baltal-Holy Cave axis with brief intense showers/ thunderstorm/hailstorm/gusty winds at few places during next 3-5 hrs”.
