The test mules spotted earlier reveal the identical silhouette to the current generation. Pointing towards the facelift rather than a generation change. Overall, boxy looks and upright stances are expected to carry over from the current generation, retaining the Brezza’s practical shape. Another noticeable change is the new set of alloy wheels. Brezza tends to be the most expensive in its segment, largely due to the larger 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. This large engine makes it eligible for additional taxation. And with the upcoming facelift, Maruti is expected to fix this. The Brezza facelift is much more likely to get the 1-litre turbo petrol engine (99bhp & 147.6Nm), shared with the Fronx. Paired with the 5-speed manual and 6-speed AT. Additionally, there are rumours that Maruti is secretly developing a 1.2-litre power unit, which could also make its way into the Brezza facelift. Paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Also, we have already seen the Brezza being tested with an underbody CNG setup. This could be another update to be introduced with the Brezza facelift. Overall, the Brezza is expected to offer better fuel efficiency, further reducing ownership costs.

Considering the multiple sightings and following the industry reports, Maruti is expected to introduce the Brezza facelift on July 23, 2026. By downsizing the engine, Brezza is expected to start at Rs 8.5 lakh and go up to Rs 15.31 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
