Marquez dominates for first MotoGP win since surgery

Ducati’s Marc Marquez showcased a dominant level to win the MotoGP sprint in Hungary. On just his second weekend since his return from shoulder surgery, Marquez led from start to finish in a statement performance to the rest of the grid. Despite looking like the quickest rider all weekend, Acosta could do nothing to challenge Marquez and finished over two seconds behind the Ducati rider. Jorge Martin finished sixth, which allowed Aprilia team-mate Bezzecchi to extend his lead in the riders’ standings to 20 points. LCR Honda’s Diogo Moreira claimed seventh at the flag, while Enea Bastianini finished eighth for Tech3 KTM.
