Main Vaapas Aaunga maintained a strong hold on its second Wednesday, collecting Rs. 2.50 crore. That's a 15 per cent drop from the previous day. The second week's cume reached Rs. 20 crore in 6 days. It is looking to close this week at around Rs. 22 crore, which will be about 75 per cent higher than its opening week.

Currently standing at Rs. 32.50 crore, the romantic drama is expected to surpass the Rs. 35 crore mark by Thursday EOD. Going by the present trends, the film is now in contention to be a success, although there is still a long way to go.

To push beyond Rs. 60 crore nett, the Imtiaz Ali directorial film will need to maintain drops of under 50 per cent over the next three weeks, preferably closer to 40 per cent. There is going to be strong competition from several big releases in the next couple of weeks, with Welcome to the Jungle, Alpha and Dhamaal 4 gearing up to hit the big screens.

It will be interesting to see how the movie performs in its third week while facing Welcome to the Jungle.
