Mahindra BE 09
Mahindra has been a popular choice when it comes to its EVs. The XEV 9e and the XEV 9S have been selling extremely well, while the BE 6 is also doing decently. Soon, we expect to see Mahindra’s BE 07 and BE 09 enter the Indian market. The BE 6 has been a sporty choice in comparison to the XEV 9e and XEV 9s, which are more on the sophisticated side. The sporty interiors of the BE 6 and the sharp design signify that it is directed towards a younger crowd. However, the BE 07 could be slightly more sophisticated with a more subtle design. But what will the BE 09 look like?

Design And Features
The Mahindra BE 09 is expected to have a sharp coupe design as seen on the BE 09 concept model. The front fascia seems like a mix of both the BE 6 and the XEV 9e when it comes to the DRL design. The bonnet is quite similar to the one on the BE 6, while the way the roofline slopes downward will remind you of the XEV 9e. Coming to the rear, the connected LED taillight closely resembles those on the BE 6, while the shape of the rear section is similar to the XEV 9e.
In terms of the interior design, we can expect to see a driver-focused cockpit with a wrap-around centre console, a darker interior theme, and sporty seats to hold you well in place. Expected features include a dual-screen setup, a panoramic glass roof, level 2+ ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, multiple drive modes and much more.

What Else?
As of now, none of the Mahindra electric SUVs gets AWD. However, we expect to see a dual-motor setup considering the BE 09 will likely be Mahindra’s flagship EV. Mahindra could offer the 70kWh battery pack and the 79kWh battery pack for the BE 09. We could also get to see a larger 80+kWh battery pack for improved range. This, along with a dual motor setup and AWD, could be quite an impressive setup and could offer more power than the Harrier EV. We could expect to see a claimed range of 650 kms. It is likely that the BE 09 will be the flagship Mahindra electric SUV and will likely come at a premium. We expect the SUV to be priced between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 35 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Mahindra could launch this SUV by the end of 2027.
