Lumio just went live with the 55-inch versions of its Vision 9 (2026) and Vision 7 (2026) smart TVs in India, and honestly, if the 65-inch Vision 9’s sellout run earlier this year told us anything, it’s that these won’t sit around for long. Both are available right now on Amazon India and Flipkart. The introductory prices are sharp. Let’s get into it.

What Are These TVs, Really?

Lumio is a Bengaluru-based brand, and their whole pitch is one thing: speed. They call it the “Slow TV Epidemic” fix. Most budget smart TVs are sluggish after six months. Lumio’s answer is throwing actual flagship-grade internals at the problem instead of cutting corners to hit a price point.

The Vision 9 (2026) is their top-of-the-line QD-Mini LED flagship. The Vision 7 (2026) is the more accessible QLED option. Both run the same MediaTek Pentonic 700 chipset with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage under the hood. That storage upgrade alone is a big deal four times more than the previous generation.

Lumio Vision 9 (2026) 55-Inch: Flagship QD-Mini LED

This is the one that turns heads. A QD-Mini LED panel at under Rs 50,000 is territory that barely existed a year ago.

Introductory price: Rs 44,999 (MRP Rs 51,999)

Display

The Vision 9 uses Lumio’s proprietary EVA (Enhanced VA) panel technology. Standard VA panels clock in at around 5,000:1 contrast. The EVA panel on this one hits 7,000:1, which shows up in how convincingly it handles deep blacks and bright HDR highlights simultaneously.

Peak brightness reaches 800 nits. Colour coverage sits at 82% of the Rec. 2020 colour space. These are numbers you’d typically find on TVs priced significantly higher.

On the refresh rate side: native 4K at 144Hz, and the panel can push 240Hz at 1080p. That’s genuinely impressive for a 55-inch sub-50K TV. Gamers, take note.

Dolby Vision is supported, as is HDR10, HLG, and the full suite of gaming-friendly specs including VRR, ALLM, QMS, and HDMI 2.1.

Performance

MediaTek Pentonic 700 chipset, 3GB DDR4 RAM, 64GB storage. Lumio calls this configuration their Boss Performance architecture. The 65-inch version already drew strong early impressions for smoothness in day-to-day navigation, and the 55-inch carries identical hardware.

Audio

Dolby Atmos support with Lumio’s DGS tuning. The Vision 9 packs up to 30W of output across its quad-driver setup, tuned for clearer vocals and more presence in the low-end.

Software

The TV runs Google TV (Android 14) with Lumio’s TLDR 2.0 content discovery layer on top. There’s a dedicated TLDR button on the Minion Remote that surfaces trending content across streaming services, critic-curated picks, and filters by language, genre, and platform. Sports tracking for cricket, football, and tennis is built in.

Coming later in 2026: Project Neo, which lets you browse and search TV content through a WhatsApp conversation. That sounds like a gimmick until you think about how often people already share Reels to decide what to watch.

Lumio Vision 7 (2026) 55-Inch: Premium QLED

The Vision 7 is not a compromise. It’s the same Boss Performance internals in a QLED body, pitched at a more accessible price point.

Introductory price: Rs 34,999 (MRP Rs 39,999)

Display

QLED panel with Dolby Vision support. Peak brightness at 400 nits. Colour coverage: 78% Rec. 2020 and 108% DCI-P3. The DCI-P3 number is particularly strong that’s cinema-grade colour coverage, which matters when you’re watching HDR content on Netflix or Prime.

Refresh rate on the Vision 7 is 60Hz, so this one is better suited for casual viewing and streaming rather than competitive gaming.

Performance and Storage

Same Pentonic 700 + 3GB RAM setup as the Vision 9. The 64GB storage is a genuine upgrade from the previous Vision 7 generation, which shipped with just 16GB. Fast app installs, more room for downloaded content.

The Vision 7 also carries a DVB-S2 satellite port for DD Free Dish access. That’s a thoughtful addition for users outside metro areas.

Audio

Dolby Atmos with DGS 2.0 tuning and up to 24W output across quad drivers.

The Verdict

Pick the Vision 9 if you want the best display money can buy at this price. The QD-Mini LED panel, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDMI 2.1 gaming features make a genuinely strong case against branded alternatives that cost quite a bit more.

Pick the Vision 7 if you primarily stream content and want that fast Lumio performance at a more approachable price. Rs 34,999 for a QLED TV with 64GB storage, Dolby Vision, and a Pentonic 700 chipset is a hard deal to argue against.

Either way, Lumio is making a real push to change what “affordable smart TV” means in India. The specs suggest they’re succeeding.
