‘A true ‌American Patriot’: Trump remembers Lindsey

U.S. ​President Donald ‌Trump offered his condolences following the news of Mr. Lindsey’s death and called him “one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known”.

“Senator ⁠Lindsey Graham, ⁠one of the greatest ​people ‌and Senators I have ever known, is ‌dead! ​He was always ⁠working, and was a true ‌American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly ‌missed!!!,” Mr. Trump said ​in a post on ⁠Truth Social.

Netanyahu, other Israeli officials offer condolences

Israel’s Prime ‌Minister and other top officials ​offered their ⁠condolences on Sunday (July 12, 2026) for the death of U.S. ‌Senator Graham, saying they ‌had lost a dear ‌friend.

“Lindsey ⁠understood that ⁠the security of Israel and America are inseparable,” Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. “Israel has lost one of ‌its greatest friends. ​America has lost a great patriot. ⁠I have lost a beloved friend.”

Israeli ‌President ⁠Isaac ⁠Herzog, Defense Minister Israel Katz, ​Foreign ‌Minister Gideon Saar and former Prime ‌Minister Naftali Bennett ​were among a ⁠few others who called ‌Mr. Graham, in separate X posts, a true friend ‌of Israel ​and one of ⁠its strongest supporters.
