LAYER develops a modular charging ecosystem for Daily Objects

Node and Loft series is a family of charging products designed by LAYER for the lifestyle brand Daily Objects. Developed as part of a broader product ecosystem, the collection rethinks everyday charging through a consistent design language that combines modularity, sculptural forms, and domestic functionality. Comprising the Node modular wireless charging system and the Loft charging station, the products organize the charging of phones, earbuds, smartwatches, laptops, tablets, and other devices while integrating into home and workspace environments.

Rather than treating charging accessories as purely functional objects, the collection introduces a unified visual identity defined by soft geometries, arched profiles, tactile materials, carefully selected colors, and a recurring circular charging motif. Designed to remain visible rather than concealed, the products establish a cohesive family of objects that connects everyday technology with furniture and interior settings.

Node modular charging system adapts to changing routines

Node is a modular wireless charging system built around a single-cable base that can be configured as either a two-in-one or three-in-one dock. The system incorporates four interchangeable modules: a Wireless Charging Phone Stand, Wireless Charging Disk, Apple Watch Charging Stand, and Portable Lamp. Each component can be docked into the base or used independently, allowing the charging configuration to be rearranged according to different spaces and daily routines.

The Wireless Charging Phone Stand supports Qi2.2-certified 25W fast wireless charging and incorporates a 7800mAh battery, allowing it to function independently of the dock when required. The Wireless Charging Disk provides the same 25W charging performance in a compact format suitable for phones and earbuds, while the Apple Watch Charging Stand offers elevated 5W wireless charging through a sculpted magnetic form.

LAYER design studio extends the system beyond charging. The Portable Lamp introduces ambient lighting as an additional function within the ecosystem. Designed to operate both as a docked and portable object, it incorporates a rechargeable battery with up to eight hours of operation and three adjustable brightness levels. A glass diffuser, aluminum detailing, and an integrated handle reinforce the material palette and arched geometry shared across the collection.

Loft desktop power station organizes cables and devices

Loft translates the same design language into a desktop charging station that combines mains power with fast USB-C charging in a compact format. Designed to power up to four devices simultaneously, it incorporates two mains outlets and two USB-C ports suitable for laptops, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.

The charging station elevates power access above the desk through a raised arched profile that improves accessibility while reducing cable clutter. Angled front-facing ports facilitate one-handed connection, while a 1.5-meter braided nylon cable, integrated cable management loop, and silicone base contribute to a more organized workspace.

Available in Charcoal, Clay, Forest, and Mandarin finishes, Loft extends the collection’s material and chromatic identity, presenting power accessories as integrated elements within domestic and work environments rather than purely utilitarian equipment.
