KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: Kuwait’s Armed Forces detected and destroyed hostile drones that entered Kuwaiti airspace on Saturday, the Ministry of Defense announced.
The Official Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, said that military forces detected the drones since dawn and successfully intercepted and neutralized them.
Major General Al-Otaibi said the “heinous Iranian aggression” targeted several vital locations in Kuwait, including a government facility in the northern part of the country and civilian vehicles belonging to a private company on Boubiyan Island.
The attacks caused material damage from shrapnel, but no injuries were reported, he said.
The armed forces added that all necessary measures are being taken in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of citizens and residents.
