Khan Sir got my brother murdered, says rival tutor Raushan Anand

He was an accused in the June 2 attack on Khan Global Studies (KGS) coaching centre in Patna. While I was in jail, he [Mr. Khan] got my brother murdered. I seek justice for Prince and demand an impartial inquiry,” said Mr. Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu Academy Coaching Centre. On the night of June 2, some 15-20 people had allegedly attacked Mr. Khan’s centre, vandalised it, and beat up a security guard.

Raushan Anand, the director of a coaching centre in Patna, has accused social media influencer and educator Faisal Khan (popularly known as ‘Khan sir’) of getting his younger brother Prince Yadav murdered “in a well-planned” manner. The two educators train government job aspirants and are bitter rivals.

Yadav’s dead body was found from a hotel at Biratnagar in Nepal on Sunday (June 14, 2026). He was an accused in the June 2 attack on Khan Global Studies (KGS) coaching centre in Patna.

“I was arrested in a false case lodged by ‘Khan sir’. My younger brother Prince Yadav was murdered in a well-planned manner. While I was in jail, he [Mr. Khan] got my brother murdered. I seek justice for Prince and demand an impartial inquiry,” said Mr. Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu Academy Coaching Centre.

Mr. Khan released a video on Monday (June 15) condoling Yadav’s death and demanding a high-level probe.

Mr. Anand was arrested with two others on June 2 for allegedly attacking KGS centre. A court in Patna had rejected his bail plea on June 9.

On Monday (June 15), Mr. Anand was escorted away to an unknown destination. Students who had gathered at the court told The Hindu thathe would perform the rituals of his brother’s death at his home in Saharsa.

Thousands of students enrolled in Mr. Anand’s institute come from different districts of the State and live in ramshackle lodges in the Musallahpur Hat area where there has been a proliferation of similar centres. Mr. Khan’s institute is located in the same area.

However, after the June 2 incident, both the coaching centres have been shut, and the students and staff have kept a low-profile fearing police action.

The police tightened security around Mr. Khan’s centre on Sunday (June 14) after Yadav’s death. “Security was beefed-up to thwart any further attack on the institute following the death of Yadav,” a police officer said.

On the night of June 2, some 15-20 people had allegedly attacked Mr. Khan’s centre, vandalised it, and beat up a security guard. An institute staff lodged a case against Mr. Anand and others, who were arrested by the police.

On June 4, a video went viral in which two guards of Mr. Khan’s centre were seen firing in the air during the incident. The police seized their weapons for ballistics test and arrested them. They allegedly told the police that they had fired on “the instructions of Khan sir”.

The police lodged a complaint against Mr. Khan following which he went incommunicado even as his lawyers approached a local court for relief. On June 9, the court stayed the arrest of Mr. Khan “till further orders” and fixed June 20 as the next date of hearing. A day later, Mr. Khan approached the Patna High court to quash the FIR against him and allow him to open his centre. The court is yet to pass any order.

Founder of Janashakti Janata Dal and elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad, Tej Pratap Yadav, has blamed Mr. Khan for death of Yadav. “Khan sir should be sent to jail for this,” he said.
