Family says life rebuilt in Victoria since 2023
The family includes Christin Das, a registered nurse working in the emergency department at one of the busiest regional hospitals in Victoria; her husband, Jineesh Joseph, a qualified chef and full-time caregiver; and their two children, Jaziel (6) and Hazel (2).
They say they have been living in Bendigo since 2023 and describe their time there as having been built “with hope, dignity, and a deep commitment to contributing to Australian society”.
Christin works in emergency care amid high demand and staffing shortages, while Jineesh is employed in the hospitality sector, which the family says also continues to face workforce shortages in Australia.
