KATSEYE’s Manon has returned to HYBE’s fan-artist communication platform Weverse DM, but the timing of her message has raised eyebrows.
On November 6, Manon shocked fans with two short words on Weverse — enough to send EYEKONs into a frenzy given her total silence on the platform for months.

Before this, her last Weverse messages came in April 2026, when the teaser for “PINKY UP” was released without her present. At the time Manon told fans she was having positive conversations with HYBE x Geffen Records. A few weeks later, amidst KATSEYE’s Coachella performances as five, she sent further messages telling fans she loved and missed them.

But the long gap between Manon’s Weverse appearances isn’t the only reason fans are taking note of the timing. Just hours earlier, KATSEYE released statements on social media explaining their recent string of postponed shows on THE WILDWORLD TOUR.
The group’s November 3 concert in Detroit was called off just 30 minutes before showtime, and more canceled dates quickly followed: Chicago on November 5, and Minneapolis on November 7. In an Instagram post, the KATSEYE members apologized to fans and confirmed that Megan is currently recovering from a concussion, which is why this week’s concerts can’t go ahead.
So, while some were thrilled to hear from Manon again, even taking the message as a sign her hiatus could be coming to an end, others weren’t as quick to celebrate. Some accused HYBE of using Manon as “damage control” to shift attention away from Megan’s situation.

Others went further, suggesting the message may not have been posted by Manon herself at all but rather a member of staff, such as well-known HYBE America senior director Missy Paramo.

Manon has been on hiatus from KATSEYE since February 2026, and the group is currently promoting as four members while Sophia also takes a break. Over the past 9 months, fans have fiercely debated whether she will return to the group.
