Dr Kiran Honannavar was found dead with multiple injuries, while his wife, Dr Priyanka Katanahalli has been taken into custody.
A 45-year-old anaesthetist was allegedly murdered inside his apartment in Karnataka’s Dharwad, while his eight-year-old son was left critically injured with multiple stab wounds.
The victim, Dr Kiran Honannavar, was an anaesthetist at Chirayu Hospital.
His body was found with multiple injuries inside a room of the family’s sixth-floor apartment at Ranka Apartment, opposite Pawan High School.
In another room, the couple’s son was found lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab injuries.

The police have detained the doctor’s 42-year-old wife, the only other adult present in the flat, who was allegedly found sitting beside her husband’s body and looking at her mobile phone when officials arrived on Wednesday night.
The police said they are treating the case as suspected murder and attempted murder and investigating the sequence of events and the motive behind the incident.
