"The incident occured during a stand-up comedy show featuring comedian Rajat Sood.The Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has demanded an apology from the professor and an inquiry into the incident.NSUI state vice president Vedant Tomar said, “The professor must apologise to the student and the university should conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident.”Bhavik Solanki, national coordinator of the NSUI, claimed in a statement that the student was subjected to inappropriate behaviour and also demanded an apology from the professor and an inquiry.The NSUI said it would hold a protest if its demands were not met.The private university did not respond to an email seeking its comment on the incident.The circumstances leading to the confrontation, including the student's alleged remark and the professor's response, could not be independently verified.
