The official X account of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai posted shortly after reports of the alleged attack emerged: “The best way to stop an attack is to attack the attackers first."

Earlier, Iranian state media have also reported missile launches towards US forces in Jordan. Al Arabiya reported that Iranian missiles were intercepted over northern Jordan, following reports of launches from Isfahan and other parts of Iran.
Videos shared online appear to show air defence activity over Jordan. However, the footage has not been independently verified, and its exact timing and location remain unclear.
