The Indian men’s cricket team is in an injury crisis. As many as 13 stars are reportedly at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru undergoing rehab. Ten of them are international cricketers, who could have been part of the current tour of Sri Lanka or any future series.

He was said to have suffered an impact injury on his knee during the tour of England, which don't take too long to heal. According to reports, the selectors were assured that he'd play at least one Test in Sri Lanka, before being ruled out. He was said to have recovered quite well and was on track for a full recovery a couple of months ago before pain surfaced in his right shin pain.
