The Rajasthan High Court will hear the plea of Rajasthan Tax Consultant’s Association (RTCA) to extend the due date for income tax audit report.
Gupta, General Secretary of the Rajasthan Tax Consultant’s Association, confirmed to Taxscan.in that the petition has been filed before the High Court.
The due date for furnishing the audit report is 30th September 2026, however due to multiple issues, the professionals are finding it difficult to keep up with the deadlines.
Many tax associations have sought to extend the due date via representations made to the Finance Ministry.
Thus, requested to extend the due date for filing tax audit reports to 31st October 2026.

RTCA, in its representation dated 8th September 2026 before the ministry has stated that merely uploading the Form 3CA/3CB and Form 3CD does not complete the tax audits but involves detailed examination of bank statements, GST records, TDS/TCS records..etc. The amount of time to do it is very short. Thus, requested to extend the due date for filing tax audit reports to 31st October 2026.
