NEW DELHI: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has hit back at social media users sharing clips from her films and public appearances to criticise her recent remarks on protesters associated with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led agitation.In an Instagram story on Friday, Ranaut argued that clips showing her playing film characters or attending professionally organised events should not be used to suggest that similar behaviour was appropriate in everyday settings.Also read: 'Save your kids from evil feminazi, demonic leftists': Kangana on Noida girl's apology video “You want to use my movie character clips I get paid millions to play, high-profile show business events where I am surrounded by my own entourage and event planners, security forces, you want to use these to convince vulnerable teenagers that she can do the same on the road or in school functions or in dingy clubs? Today you mislead other children; tomorrow it will be yours,” she added.Ranaut’s response comes amid criticism of her comments on videos emerging from the CJP-led protests at Jantar Mantar, news agency PTI reported.In an earlier Instagram post, the BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi had described videos from the agitation as a display of “filth, garbage and ugliness” and said the reels were “puke-inducing”.“So much ugliness in one place, these reels from GenZ protests are puke-inducing, the way they speak and the kind of language they are using, never in my life I have seen everything in each and every frame so jarring and so crass all at once, ewwww who is birthing and raising them?” she had said.Her remarks triggered criticism online, with users sharing clips from her films and other appearances in response.The exchange also comes after CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das responded to Ranaut’s remarks about him, after she described him as a “28-year-old useless and unemployed” in an Instagram story.Das said Ranaut had received incorrect information about his age and professional background.
