Hyundai’s Answer To Mahindra XUV 7XO Coming To India

New Hyundai 7-Seater Coming: What To Expect?

Hyundai is reportedly working on a new seven-seater SUV; however, it has not been officially confirmed yet. We expect this new SUV to be based on the new-generation Hyundai Creta. With the update, the Creta is expected to be underpinned by the new K3 platform, which will increase its length. The upcoming seven-seater might also be based on the same platform, as it needs to offer enough length to accommodate up to seven occupants.

Features

In terms of features, the Hyundai seven-seater SUV is expected to share several features with the new-generation Creta. That said, we can expect features like the Pleos infotainment unit, a small pop-out digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, front and rear wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS, six airbags, and more.

Powertrain

Under the hood, expect the model to be powered by the same 1.5-litre engines (petrol, diesel) as the Creta. To make things more interesting, Hyundai might also offer hybrid tech (that will debut on the new Creta) with this SUV.

Expected Launch & Pricing

The brand is yet to share concrete information regarding this new SUV. However, we expect this model to join Hyundai’s lineup by 2028. That’s a long time from now. Once launched, this new seven-seater will directly compete with the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Safari and the upcoming MG seven-seater SUV.

Expect this new Hyundai SUV to be priced somewhere between Rs. 17 lakh and Rs. 28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
