Increase across the range

Effective from First June

Hyundai has announced that it will hike prices across its complete range with effect from 1 June. The extent of price increase is up to a maximum of Rs. 12800, and it will vary depending on the model and variant. In an official statement, the automaker has attributed the hike to rising input costs, increased commodity prices and higher operational expenses.

It added that while the company continuously strives to optimise costs and minimise the impact on its customers, the company is constrained to pass on some of the increased costs to the market through this nominal price increase. This is the second time in two months that Hyundai has hiked its prices, and the fourth time this year.

Hyundai joins a host of manufacturers across various segments that have hiked their prices over the last few months. All of them have attributed rising input costs and higher operational expenses. A big factor in this is no doubt the unrest in the Gulf nations that has placed pressure on crucial transport corridors.
