Hyundai September 2026 Price Hike

Hyundai has attributed the latest price revision to a combination of rising input and commodity costs, higher operational expenses and continuing geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainties. These factors have been putting pressure on costs across the automotive industry.

Raw materials such as steel, aluminium and other commodities account for a significant portion of vehicle manufacturing costs. Changes in commodity prices, along with logistics, energy and other operating expenses, can therefore have a direct impact on the cost of manufacturing and distributing vehicles.

Ongoing geopolitical uncertainties can further affect global supply chains, freight costs, energy prices and availability of components. Hyundai has cited these factors as part of the reason behind its decision to revise prices.

The company says it has been making efforts to optimise costs and absorb increases wherever possible to minimise the impact on customers. However, with cost pressures continuing, Hyundai says it has become necessary to pass on a part of the additional expense through the upcoming price revision.

Buying Before September Could Save Some Money

For customers who have already finalised their purchase, completing the transaction at the existing price before the revision takes effect could result in some savings, subject to dealer-level billing and applicable terms. Hyundai has not announced any changes to its model lineup as part of this revision. The September 2026 hike is purely a pricing adjustment necessitated by higher costs.

With the festive season approaching, the timing of the revision is also noteworthy. September onwards is traditionally an important period for car sales in India. While manufacturers usually introduce festive offers and benefits during this period, Hyundai buyers will simultaneously have the revised ex-showroom prices to factor into their purchase decisions.
