Hyderabad, Vijayawada: Popular YouTuber A. Rama Nandana, facing a look-out notice in multiple cheating cases, was detained by immigration officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad here on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh police served a notice under to Rama Nandana.
On receipt of information from the immigration authorities at the RGIA, Ibrahimpatnam police reached the Hyderabad airport and served notice on her.
Accordingly, Rama Nandana has to appear before the Ibrahimpatnam police and explain the accusations she was facing in the case booked against her.

Rama Nandana, facing a look-out notice in multiple cheating cases, was detained by immigration officials at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad here on Monday. The RGIA police were expected to hand her over to the Ibrahimpatnam police of Andhra Pradesh for further action. Her husband Jagarlamudi Madhukar, prime accused in the case, was not with her.
The Ibrahimpatnam police had booked a case against Rama Nandana, known for her channel ;Nandu's World’, and Madhukar for allegedly cheating an aspirant in the name of visa consultancy after collecting a huge amount of money on the pretext of providing placements in the UK, police said. Madhukar and his father, the third accused, are at large.
The Ibrahimpatnam police had registered cases of cheating and breach of trust. When they could not be traced, the police issued the look-out circulars.
It was reported that Nandana was about to leave the country when she was detained. :We have seized her passport and handed over to the law and order police for further investigation,” a police officer posted at RGIA Shamshabad disclosed.

Accordingly, Rama Nandana has to appear before the Ibrahimpatnam police and explain the accusations she was facing in the case booked against her. She also has to inform the police that she would appear before the court when summoned to do so.
It may be mentioned that a case of cheating was registered at Ibrahimpatnam police station based on a complaint lodged by M. Siva Kranti Kumar who alleged that Nandana’s husband Jagarlamudi Madhukar and others allegedly promised to arrange UK visa renewal, employment and a certificate of sponsorship for which he paid about `15 lakh in installments during 2023 into accounts linked to Destiny Consultancy. However, the CoS document given to him was found to be fake and other services as assured not provided. Accordingly, he demanded his money back for which he allegedly received only `2 lakh.
The Ibrahimpatnam police booked the case with Madhukar as Accused No. 1, Rama Nandana as Accused No. 2 and Madhukar’s father Mohan Rao as Accused No. 3.
A senior police officer said, “We have served notice so that she should present herself before police and also to appear before the court when summoned. As the case involving her attracts punishment for less than seven years, the question of arresting her will not arise.”
Nandana had released a public video statement denying all allegations and stopped posting on her social media channels. She claimed that their names were misused in targeted smear campaigns arising from personal disputes. She also made her silver screen debut with a special cameo appearance in Chiranjeevi's film ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu‘ along with Nayanatara and Venkatesh, which was released in January.
