A humanoid robot at an electronics store in Russia has gone viral after seemingly reacting to a customer who pushed it. The bizarre moment, captured on video and later shared on X, has amused social media users, with some comparing the incident to scenes from the sci-fi film “The Terminator."

The footage shows a man in a black T-shirt approaching the robot inside the store and giving it a push. Within moments, it moves one of its legs towards him in what appears to be an attempt to kick him, catching those nearby off guard.

The situation then seems to escalate, as the machine continues moving before it is reportedly powered down. The post accompanying the clip claimed that the robot was switched off after becoming difficult to control.

The unusual interaction quickly caught the attention of social media users, who flooded the post with jokes and references to robots taking revenge on humans.

Some users also questioned whether the footage was genuine, pointing out that the robot could potentially have been operated remotely.

“Human ego even drove the robots mad," said one user.

Another commenter took the joke further, writing, “Don’t you have a rolling pin to whack him with so his head flies off, you robot? Whose robot are you, anyway, robot?"

The incident also prompted a more philosophical take from another viewer, who wrote, “We thought artificial intelligence was testing our patience, but it turns out we were testing theirs."

Not everyone was convinced that the robot had independently reacted to the customer. One user alleged that the machine was being remotely controlled, commenting, “Yeah, these are already being controlled with a remote. You shared it for money, of course you’re right too."

Another viewer focused on the apparent sequence of events and joked about the robot seemingly trying to control its emotions, writing, “By the way, it doesn’t attack right away.. it first tries to stay calm but ends up giving in to its anger, you know, so familiar, so much."
