Honda registered 5.17 lakh domestic sales in August, growing 7.54% YoY and 8.58% MoM, with Activa contributing nearly half its volumes
Honda’s domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 5,17,331 units in August 2026, up 7.54% from 4,81,058 units a year earlier. This translated into an increase of 36,273 units. Compared to July’s 4,76,436 units, sales grew 8.58%, adding 40,895 units.

Activa registered 2,55,815 units, growing 4.73% over 2,44,271 units in August 2025. Sequential growth was stronger at 24.08%, with an additional 49,645 units over July’s 2,06,170 units. The scooter accounted for 49.45% of Honda’s domestic sales.
Shine 125 and SP125 together recorded 1,60,731 units, up 13.73% from 1,41,332 units last year. However, volumes declined 9.07% from July’s 1,76,756 units. Despite the monthly drop, this lineup delivered Honda’s largest absolute year-on-year gain at 19,399 units.
Unicorn And Dio Grow, Shine 100 Recovers MoM
Unicorn ranked third with 35,394 units, increasing 20.91% over 29,274 units a year earlier. Compared to July’s 35,007 units, sales edged up 1.11%. Dio recorded 27,670 units, growing 7.95% YoY and 6.82% MoM. It contributed 5.35% of Honda’s August total.
Shine 100 followed with 19,895 units. While this represented a 12.09% decline from 22,631 units last August, volumes recovered 30.94% over July’s 15,194 units. Hornet 125 recorded 4,089 units, up 5.96% over July’s 3,859 units. SP160 sales stood at 2,028 units, declining 15.57% YoY and 45.64% MoM.
Combined CB350 Range Crosses 9,000 Units
The CB350 entry registered 5,757 units, while the separately listed H’ness 350/RS entry contributed 3,295 units. Together, Honda’s 350cc range recorded 9,052 units, growing 132.52% over the combined 3,893 units a year earlier. Sequentially, the combined tally increased 24.07% from 7,296 units. Honda has updated the lineup under the CB350 identity recently.
QC1 Leads Honda’s Electric Volumes
QC1 registered 1,901 units, increasing 63.88% from July’s 1,160 units. Activa e added 140 units, compared to 104 units in July and 20 units a year earlier. Combined electric scooter volumes stood at 2,041 units, accounting for approximately 0.39% of Honda’s domestic total. While both recorded sequential growth, their contribution remained small compared with the petrol scooter lineup.
CB200X recorded 384 units, down 35.46% YoY but up 21.52% MoM. Hornet 2.0 declined sharply to 156 units, falling 82.69% YoY and 82.45% from July. Among larger motorcycles, NX500 contributed 41 units and XL750 recorded 33 units. CB1000R/RR and Gold Wing registered one unit each, while Livo and CB650 recorded zero dispatches.
New Launches
Honda has also expanded its portfolio in September with the ADV160 scooter, Rebel 300, updated CB350 range, CB500 and QC3 electric scooter. These additions broaden its offering across scooters, premium motorcycles and electric mobility, potentially attracting more buyers as availability improves. With the festive season approaching, the expanded lineup could support sales growth in the coming months.
